Audit your refunds for free
One command reads your Stripe refunds of the last 90 days and replays them against Burnbound's support refunds rules. It tells you how many Burnbound would have stopped or held for approval, by which rule and for how much money. No account, nothing to install on your servers.
Nothing leaves your machine
- Your Stripe key goes only to api.stripe.com, and only to read. It is never written to disk or printed.
- Nothing is sent to Burnbound: the report is written on your machine.
- Exchange rates come from the European Central Bank (or from rates you pass), without your key.
Run it
- Create a restricted key in Stripe (Developers → API keys) with Charges, Refunds and Customers set to Read, and everything else to None.
- Paste it without leaving it in your shell's history:
read -rs STRIPE_API_KEY && export STRIPE_API_KEY - Run the audit (Node.js 20 or later):
npx -y @burnbound/mcp audit-refunds
--days 30 for a shorter window, --format markdown to paste the report, --redact to share it without customer ids.

Warnings:
- Only the custom rules were replayed. The agent's own caps (per refund, daily, allowed hosts) were not: a local run does not have the agent's policy or spend.
Next step: Turn these rules on in Burnbound: sign up, give your support agent its Burnbound key and apply the support-refunds pack in the agent's rules. https://burnbound.dev/register
What it checks
The support refunds pack, the same rules you can turn on in Burnbound with one click:
- Approval for a refund over 100 USD.
- One refund per customer per calendar month; the next one is denied.
- Approval for a refund of a charge older than 30 days.
- No refund of a disputed charge.
Or your own rules, with --rules rules.json.
It replays the rules only: the agent's own caps (per refund, daily) need its policy and are not evaluated.
